Week 0: Pre-Test & Post Test

January 9, 2024

pre-Test / Post-Test

This test is the same test you will give your students during PD week and the last week, Feedback Week. We want to see if there is an improvement in the scores and on what they’ve learned over the course of this program. If you have any questions, please email or drop them in the comments below.

TRANSCRIPT OF PRE/POST TEST PD:

Hi there. I'm Sherryl Anderson and welcome to the pre-post-test PD. This is part of your farm-to-school, classroom experience, and super excited to get started here. So to get to this PD, if you. I want any refreshers, the first thing you're going to do is you're going to go to growinghopeproject.org/farm-to-school, and then I have it here. Under the first, left-hand side week one pretest and post-test. So this is something that you're going to want to do prior to the program. So I have PDs, as I upload them, I'm putting which week they're supposed to be done. So this week is week one. So I hope this will be helpful in getting some questions answered.

So the purpose of taking these pretests, which is the same test we test before you start the program, which is very important. And before you do any activities with your students, and then after to take a before and after snapshot of what your students have learned, through going through farm to school with San Andreas. So, the first thing you're going to want to do is to download the PDF of the test. When you click on this link, you're going to be taken to the Google Shared Drive, which is right here. So the answer key to this would be, have you tasted this before?

We'd want that to be a yes. Does this use soil to grow plants? We want that to be a no. What is this plant called? This is Rosemary. These buildings are called greenhouses. Can you eat these petals? The answer would be yes. And then wash your hands with soap is what needs to be put in there and water before preparing food. So that's your answer key. You're going to score it for each student, And then score it for all of your students after you score it. And we want the average for the class. And that information needs to be submitted and you're going to enter your class test results here. When you click on this, you get taken to this form. This is something that you do not with your students that you do after you've given the test to your students. So you're going to let me know if this was a pre-test or post-test. Everyone should be doing pre-test now, then you enter in your name and then the grade or type of class. I just have placeholder texts here. So let's just say your kindergarten. And then which school you're from, and then it will help you do a dropdown. So let's say you're from Bob Holcomb. Number of students 25. And then what your average, this is a percentage. So let's just say you got a 72% with your class and then you just submit your class results. So once that's submitted, that will help us get a gauge of how much the program has helped your students learn about farm to school. And farm-to-table concepts. So this is a quick overview of what that is. And then if you have any questions or comments, or if you want to share any ideas, we have a comment section where you can easily put in links. I know some of you who did this last year put. Put this PDF in Google classroom and did a Google size and had your students enter in all of the answers that way, you're welcome to do that. Other than that, that's pretty much. It for your pre and post-test, you'll do the same thing at the end of week six, of the entire program. If you have any questions, please let us know. Otherwise, that's it for me. Thanks again for watching and have a great day.
